Andy Hall

Equipped To Live Network

Andy Hall about to teach

The ETL network was started by Andy Hall in 2007, the network goal is; “The training, equipping, motivating and mobilizing of believers, to be an effective mission force in their communities”. Andy’s ministry involves conducting seminars, conferences, church weekends and other training events; a well as direct evangelistic activity. Alongside this he is facilitating and involved in networking groups looking at new ways of reaching communities. Another facet of the ministry involves long term consultancy work with Church’s seeking to move into renewal & evangelism.

This is happening with Churches across the UK Andy and several network associates are available to come and visit your church or team to advise consult or deliver some of our training modules. We are able to speak and minster at training days, church weekends away or full blown conferences. To facilitate these aims teaching and training resources are being produced.

In 2007 a 12 DVD teaching resources; “Equipped to Live”, came out covering basic discipleship issues. In 2008 we produced two DVD series; “Equipped to Share”, about evangelism from the local church into the community. Then “Equipped to Preach” aimed at developing teachers & preachers. In 2009 we devloped a CD teaching serise called Equipped for the Kingdom - now available.

Andy is originally from London. Married to Yvonne they have two daughters at university in Scotland and live in West Kilbride on the Ayrshire coast. After graduating from London Bible College in 1986 Andy worked with Youth With A Mission (YWAM); serving in evangelism, church planting and training projects all over the UK. From 1997 he worked as the National Evangelist for YWAM England following four years as the director of an inter-church Bible School in Guildford, Surrey, which aimed to train up pioneer evangelists and church planters.

The family moved to Scotland in 2001 when Andy was appointed as National Director for the work of YWAM in that nation. In 2007 he stepped down from this role and out of YWAM to concentrate on a full time teaching and preaching ministry along side churches and their leadership teams. He travels widely in the UK and internationally in this teaching and training role.

Andy is also part of the team that leads the CLAN Gathering Conference each July in St Andrews Fife. (This is Scotland’s version of the New Wine Movement in England) He is a regular contributor to the speaking team and has specific oversight for the Young Adult age group and programme at the conference.Since 2008 Andy has served as the chairman for Leaders Together in Scotland. LTS is a representative group of senior national figures from Pentecostal Churches, the New Church streams and renewal movements within the historic denominations. Meeting four times a year this group seek to support one another and to be a facilitator of conferences and events that will stimulate Charismatic Pentecostal leadership in the church.

Andy & Yvonne are sent out from Guildford Community Church, to minister in Scotland and worship with The Light house Christian Centre in Troon where Andy is part of the leadership team. Yvonne works with “Healing Rooms” in Ayrshire and is involved in pioneering evangelistic ministry across the nation.

Michael Montgomery

Michael hails from Ireland and came to faith whilst at drama school. Shortly after he met Gail and they were married in 1991. Both Michael & Gail felt a strong calling to overseas missions were they could evangelize and disciple others. In 1994 they joined Mercy Ships, (then part of YWAM, Youth With A Mission) and spent 3 years in and out of West & South Africa and Madagascar. Michael & Gail were both the Directors of Discipleship Training for nearly 3 years. Michael's main responsibilities were the day to day pastoral care of the students, teaching and the mentoring of the staff for the 4 schools that were held each year.

After their return to the UK to have their first child, he helped develop and establish b2b, (a leadership training program aimed at young people), co-lead a YWAM training base, continued leading DTS', (discipleship training schools) and completed and staffed an LDC, (leadership development course) aimed at leaders with more senior experience in YWAM. Michael also served the national communication of YWAM which took him back into full time education studying graphic design and digital media, leading eventually to his leaving YWAM and establishing triple3, a design company.

In latter years God has put "Spiritually Hungry" on Michael's heart. This seems to have shown itself in two ways. 1) Those who already know God and who are spiritually hungry for a much deeper revelation of Him and 2) for those who don't know God and are looking in all the wrong places!. This has taken him from church groups & churches to psychic fayres and places in-between!

Michael continues to teach, preach & minister nationally & internationally. He's involved with Light & Life and Healing Rooms and has helped to establish the Equipped To Live Network. He and Gail have two fabulous kids, Emily-Joy & Joshua, who specialise in keeping their dad firmly grounded!

Richard Hill

Richard-and-Erin

Richard was trained as a painter and sculptor and worked as a lecturer and art curator for a season. A fresh encounter with God led to him choosing some ‘time out’, which resulted in him training and working with a church network called Pioneer for a couple of years in the south of England (Tie Teams/DNA). He subsequently returned home to work with his own church, Highworth Community Church, particularly in the areas of youthwork and teaching. Richard was asked to help head up a discipleship year training course for The Gap, which was a youth event co-founded by a group of churches in the Swindon area. He co-led this for two years and invited Youth With A Mission (YWAM) to contribute to the courses’ content. During this period he also worked as a Youth For Christ (YFC) associate, taking school lessons, assemblies and lunch time clubs.

In 1999 Richard moved to Guildford Surrey and worked with a small student team at Surrey University for two years with YWAM England. Their team worked in partnership with other student organisations such as UCCF and IFES, to disciple and mentor the students in leading small groups and sharing their faith.

His next move was to the west coast of Scotland in 2001 where he joined the staff of YWAM Scotland and helped work with local churches, and the Discipleship Training Schools (DTS). He helped re-pioneer the Staff Care and Development part of YWAM Scotland and particularly worked in the areas of ministry and calling development. He is a qualified practitioner of Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and regularly trains teams in interpersonal dynamics using this tool and other personality style instruments.

Since being in Scotland he has demolished and rebuilt his flat (not all by choice) and met and married Erin who is from Richmond Virginia in the USA (very much by choice). Erin is a musician and singer and you can find out more about her from erinkhill.com.
